Rosewood has run hotels since 1979 and is privately owned by Chow Tai Fook Enterprises. Its hotels are residential in style and deliberately individual, among them Hôtel de Crillon in Paris, The Carlyle in New York and Rosewood Hong Kong, and in the Gulf, Rosewood Abu Dhabi on Al Maryah Island.

Rosewood Dubai and Rosewood Residences Dubai are its first Dubai address, on Jumeirah Beach within Peninsula Dubai, delivered by H&H Development for the owner, Bright Start. There are 63 residences and five beachfront villas beside a hotel of 195 keys, and the opening is published for 2029.
